For over 19 years ISA has helped our customers find solutions for the repair and maintenance of their legacy automated systems. We work in concert with end-users, distributors and contractors to troubleshoot problems, source solutions and repair systems that have been deemed irreparable and unsalvageable.

The following are real-world examples of the unique way in which ISA has gone the extra mile to help our energy management, fire and security customers.

Higher Learning

Vanderbilt University
It all started in the late 80’s with simple board repairs to their Honeywell 5600 series Energy Management system. While providing Vanderbilt with repairs on an as need basis, ISA determined that lightening strikes were the primarily cause of substantial reoccurring damage to their system’s boards. ISA proactively suggested and subsequently installed a fiber optic system to help lessen the impact of Mother Nature. Due to the success of this installation and the university’s satisfaction with ISA’s service, ISA was asked to submit a proposal for the scheduled maintenance of their energy management system. In addition to offering substantial cost savings over competitive bids, ISA won the contract with our unique ability to stock an inventory of parts for their legacy systems. Over ten years later… ISA maintains both their Energy Management and Fire Systems. We have 4 technicians housed on campus and an inventory of parts dedicated to maintain their systems. It’s been a wonderful partnership that ISA hopes to maintain and flourish for many years to come.

Blowing in the Wind

The United States Naval Academy
After hurricane Isabel wrecked havoc on the northeast coast, the United States Naval Academy was left in turmoil. In addition to a complete power blackout, ISA field technicians were faced with submersed buildings which housed the Naval Academy's energy management systems. ISA technicians worked around the clock to expedite a needs assessment, construct action plans and restore power and functionality to the customer’s critical systems. In addition to getting this customer back on track, ISA was able to assist the academy and its contractor in the migration of their energy management control system to a newer, more stable system.

California Screaming

Raytheon
Raytheon, a major manufacturer in California, was unable to find support for their legacy Johnson Control fire system. Through an Internet search, Raytheon’s Facilities Manager located ISA and contacted us for help. ISA quickly learned that the customer was experiencing exorbitant labor costs caused by their need to maintain 24/7 human fire watches. ISA searched for and located a refurbished system, sent a technician to install primary and secondary systems and develop a maintenance schedule to ensure their system is reliably operational for many years to come. Due to ISA’s unique expertise in sourcing, installing and maintaining legacy systems, Raytheon was able to save hundreds of thousands of dollars in system upgrades and manual monitoring costs.
